According to some sources, the cost of a funeral is one of the three or four most expensive consumer purchases. Funerals can cost upwards of $12000.

They definitely don’t have to be so expensive, and there’s no reason (other than stubborn sentimentalism) to believe that paying so much for a funeral is somehow a sign of love for the departed.

Avoiding Misunderstandings with a Lease Agreement

The leasing of farmland has become increasingly popular over the last few years. To minimise possible problems it is important to have an effective agreement between both the Landowner as “Lessor” and the Lessee.

Our Fence - Who Pays?

Most people will know that there are ways to compel a neighbour to contribute towards paying for a shared boundary fence; here is what you need to know before you commit yourself to the work and the expense. Whilst there will be exceptions (for example there is a fencing covenant, a swimming pool is involved, or you are buying land recently subdivided) the Fencing Act 1978 does provide for adjoining occupiers sharing the cost of fencing boundaries.
